The Safety Blanket was designed for police, prisons and forensic medical settings.

The blanket is, of course, first and foremost, warm and comfortable, but they are much more than that.  They are a three-layer quilted sandwich made from two outer layers of a tough fire resistant fabric with a fibre "wadding" filling which increases the bulk of the blanket.

The result is a blanket that cannot be used as a ligature because it is too bulky and cannot be ripped to make thinner strips.
